It started with a single sandwich and a borrowed griddle. Marcus and Elena Rosario opened the first Philadelphia Sandwich Company counter in 2012 with one simple belief: a great sandwich deserves the same care as a great meal.
Every roll is baked fresh daily by our partner bakery on East Passyunk. Every cut of meat is sourced from Pennsylvania farms we've visited ourselves. The cheese? We argue about it constantly — and we think that matters.
We're not trying to reinvent the cheesesteak. We're just trying to honor it — and do it better than anyone else in this city. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just the real thing, every single time.
